It's simple: We need to score some goals in the 3rd period and limit the Hawks to none. And stay out of the damn box!

Not tonight I guess. I Just kept expecting us to score as we seemed to just dominate the game. (aside from the 2nd period penalties)

Play like that all series, and you'll win 4 out of 5. Go get em' Wed.

Can't complain about the effort at all. I kept feeling the tying goal was going to come, but it never did. Credit where it's due: Crawford was nails tonight. I felt like we were the better team, just couldn't get anything past him. And so help me Christ, if anyone pins this on Miller....yes, it was a bad goal, but he settled down and did his part from then on. We just couldn't cash in on offense. I wanted a split in Chicago and we've still got a chance for that. On to game 4. The Hawks were never going to be easy to take down. Still got work to do.

It's very easy to have flashbacks to last playoffs. Yeah they played great tonight, better than the Hawks for the entire game. The Hawks looked horrible out there and at the end of the night they still won. To expect they'll play this bad on Wednesday is wishful thinking. We need a better power play and to win (more) faceoffs. Bottom line. They'll come out stronger and smarter in game 4 and the Blues need to be prepared to do the same.

I game was essentially over, but crap effort there from Berglund at the end on the second goal. Come on, that's weak. Said it all season long the guy doesn't have the drive to be a dominant force.

At first I was really MEH about losing this one, but we're pouring on the muscle on these losers and Crawford looked rattled as hell. We're in their head. Lose a game to win the series? I'll take that!

Tough loss.

Blues were the better team throughout normal play. That said, Miller can't let in that softie, the team can't win by scoring zero goals, and I thought Hitch was awful tonight. The team was dominating up to the TO, and then didn't do much of anything for the last eight minutes, including the braindead decision of leaving Miller in goal until under a minute in the third.

Win game 4, it doesn't matter. Lose game 4...history could repeat itself. Better win and remove all doubt.

The Blues played their asses off, and they really need a guy down low if crawford is going to keep wearing his rubber goalie gear..

No Jesus and no Martians!

But the Blues have played extraordinarily well considering how poorly they ended the season!

This is why I say game 3 is the most important game. We could have been in the drivers seat, but now Chicago has a decent shot at tying it up going into game 5 and carrying momentum. In the end I don't care how much better the Blues played, they still lost and that doesn't help in game 3 of a playoff round. Game 3 of the regular season maybe not such a big deal, but this isn't the regular season.

I can't say the Blues played bad at all. We actually dominated that game, for the most part. We threw everything we had at Crawford. If not for that one early goal let in by Miller, the game could've been tied 0-0 at the end of regulation and we could've won in overtime.

TBH I don't think Miller is as great as we thought he'd be. Even the times where he came up big for us. Yes we won the first two games, but not necessarily because of Miller, but in spite of him. I guess what I'm saying is I think Halak or Elliot could be interchangeable with Miller and we'd be in exactly the same position we are now.

I don't know about that. Berglund had some decent chances in the game, and he took a lot of great shots. He has a great wrist shot. I was impressed with his addition for the most part. Worth re-signing? No. But while he have him, not a bad playoff helper for the time being.
