It's very possible. However the big risk here is that he's unproven at the NHL level and if your're the GM with this stacked roster of talent and primed to make a run at the cup do you want to risk putting Jake Allen in charge of the netminding right now? Or....go out and sign another goalie for 2 years to be the #1 and see how Jake Allen does as a backup #2 guy. That's the strategy I would use cause just making Allen #1 could backfire. Look how many goalies were promising but turned into the dreaded '4A' player once they reached the big time.WaukeeBlues wrote:Within 3 years Jake Allen will be the opening night starting goaltender for this team.
