So apparently there is a way to get Gamecenter Live for only $75 compared to the $169 price tag right now. I just did it and it worked.
Basically your tricking the website to thinking your in Russia and getting what they pay for.
In the Chrome browser get Hola ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...pjkiklfbnlmeio ) Open a new tab, select Russia, google/navigate to NHL Gamecenter, and you should see NHL Gamecenter for $75. Paid via paypal and got confirmation.
You don't even need the add on after. Cool stuff worked great for me.
The only stupid thing was that it didn't take my $25 off coupon for NHL 15.

Once you sign up, no more need for Hola. You can still use it if you want to watch blacked out games in your region to make GC think you are in other country, therefore removing the blackout.
Going to try it out if I can get Hola to install. It is sputtering right now.
AT&T used to carry NHLN, but dropped it in 2010 or 2011. Contract expired and they couldn't agree to terms on a new one. Basically, unless AT&T thinks it's losing enough customers over it, they aren't going to bring NHLN back, and I doubt they are going to come to that conclusion 3-4 years after dropping NHLN.

I clicked on "Watch" for the Blues - Kings game tomorrow night. Here is what it says:
This game is being broadcast on television in your area and is not available in NHL GameCenter LIVE™ at this time.
Please read our FAQ or check your local television listings for more information.
After the game, you may enjoy the condensed replay and post-game highlights without restriction. The full-length replay will become available 48 hours after game completion.
But if I use Hola and choose United States, it says, "Waiting for Video Feed".
So...that tells me viewing local games might work, as long as you use Hola.

Gamecenter is online through NHL.com. Anyone can get it.
I think he means since his cable provider doesn't have NHLN then they should give him GCL for free. I would call them up and ask for it or some money off. It has worked in the past.

My confirmation email says it will automatically renew next season unless I cancel it.
Assuming they charge $75 for Russian based IP's next season as well. That's pretty sweet.

Oh wow, good point. I wonder if that will work.

Thanks for posting this BTW. Nice find.
This is perfect timing for us. We just got fast enough internet here now. The first 5+ years we have lived here, the only non-capped internet options for us were Clear or Satellite...and both sucked. Streaming stuff online is pretty nice now, when it was sub-par before.

Glad I could help, I stumbled on it randomly.

I meant the service on TV. It used to be called Center Ice. AT&T Uverse should be offering it whatever you want to call it! I cant believe they offer NBA league pass but not NHL Center Ice!

Just get Gamecenter Live and hook a laptop up to your tv and watch it that way. Easy.

Oh wow they don't even offer it at all? That sucks. Is that AT&T U-Verse?
