Better than a full year, must have only been doing disc golfing this time.
It's the same knee that he hurt in the golf cart incident.

And he is a master of stating the obvious...
"I'm just getting rewarded for playing well," he said recently. "I'm a really big believer that if you play the game fair and you play it the right way, if you don't cheat the game, if you're in the spot you're supposed to be, if you're picking up other teammates when they're down, and if you're doing all the right things as a player, the game rewards you.
Well no shit.

...as well as being pretty full of himself.
"Goal scoring feels good, but without the goals, I'd be extremely happy with my season because I'm playing unbelievably well right now."

So there you have it-even Erik Johnson has trouble believing he doesn't suck this year. I can see that.

Top 10 picks alone, they could have been better off taking Toews, Kessel, Backstrom or Okposo. Of course having a guy who could score with frequency instead of a defenseman who wanted to play hackysack with a golf cart could have had a profoundly negative effect on future drafts. Maybe they would have scored/won more and ended up in the wrong slot to get Pie, Rundblad (who, as we all know, directly led to Tarasenko) and Schwartz, and the entire face of the team would be dramatically different. Who knows? In any event, Johnson is an Av and I don't care one bit about him anymore. He didn't do anything positive during his time in the note, so why should I care about him during his time out of the note?
Or maybe we'd all be dead. Chaos and all that...
