Six Blues prospects are currently slated for their countries rosters for the upcoming 2024 World Junior Championship: Dalibor Dvorsky (SVK), Jimmy Snuggerud (USA), Juraj Pekarcik (SVK), Otto Stenberg (SWE), Aleksanteri Kaskimaki (FIN), and Jakub Stancl (CZE)

The most notable snub among Blues prospects is Theo Lindstein for Team Sweden considering as an 18 year old defenseman in the Men's League he has 3 G, 11 A in 27 GP which is very respectable. Several WJC previews specifically mention him and are surprised he's not on Team Sweden, considering there are only 2 LD on Sweden's WJC roster.

It appears Sweden rethought the Lindstein decision, since he's magically appeared on Sweden's WJC roster.

From what I read before the paywall popped up and blocked the rest this kid looks like the real deal. I'm excited to see him get a shot at the club next season.

The real deal so far at WJCs has been Lindstein. After making Sweden as an injury sub, he leads all defenseman in the tournament in scoring. Added 1G and 1A in the semi- final game vs Czechia. Stenberg also added an assist.

The future forwards... 2025 or 26...

Buchnevich/Thomas/Kyrou
Schenn/Dean/Bolduc
Neighbours/Stenberg/Snuggerud
Toropchenko/Dvorsky/Stancl

Kaskimaki should be there, too, just have to figure out whose LW and C.
Or any combination of the above.

No, I didn't list any Blues forwards currently over 30 other than Schenn

Defense other than Parayko/Lindstein is still a mystery

I'd include Pekarcik in there. Bolduc never seems to cease to disappoint me... I'm starting to wonder if he'll ever be a contributor or just a trade piece. Also very close to giving up on Robertsson.

On D I think you have to include Buchinger and Koromyslov.

Bolduc is en route. Kind of surprised, I don’t really think he’s earned it but ok.

The 6 points in his last 7 games for the T-Birds was the reason why Bolduc. It's probably more of a let's see where is now in NHL terms and debuting against Roy is a nice deal for Bolduc considering the time he spent playing for him in the Q.

Might just have to go to a Jacksonville Iceman game on March 3rd, since I can't make the one on March 2nd. They are playing the Orlando Solar Bears who have 3 Blues prospects - Tanner Dickinson, Jeremie Biakabutuka, and Marc-Andre Gaudet. If Colten Ellis gets returned from the T-Birds, he'd be a 4th. Anton Malmstrom would be a 5th, but he's been called up to Springfield, too.

Zach Dean is up, I guess it’s time for those “we’re not making the playoffs anyway” late season looks.

Snuggerud watch time... will he sign his ELC and join the team on Thursday, get an AHL tryout or return for his junior year?

I'd put a dollar down on him going to Springfield for their last... 5?... games. Why burn a year of the ELC? I can't imagine him possibly going back for another year of college.

Snuggerud going back for his junior year. Gotta say I’m a little disappointed but I guess not winning it all this year stung him.
