If this game had gone to OT I’m not liking the Blues chances at all. That was both huge to pull out a win but also huge the way they did it. Don’t let go of that momentum on Saturday and they should be fine.

So throwing the puck in front, not trying to get a clean shot on net, led to the game winning goal.

Someone get Berube to take note of this, so the Blues will quit just looking for clean shots, which they do 95% of the time, and actually throw pucks to the front a little more often to generate scoring chances. Clean shots only go in approximately 3% of the time. So you need 30+ just to get 1 goal. Meanwhile, deflections and shots off deflections go in way more often. 3 of the 5 last night were pucks sent to the front and shot into the net either directly deflected or shot after being deflected.
