Glad this was done. Ironic that Backes was not only unable to join the many ex-Blue-to-win-a-cup group, but lost in his best chance against the Blues.

That was a fantastic statement from him, awesome follow up interview with the season ticket holders who got to ask him questions. Glad this was done and he still has that love for the Blues. One of my all time favorites.

I really liked the question about he and Petro in the Stanley Cup Final. He confirmed the "Buffalo Head" comment was a term of endearment Petro trying to get him to calm down (which I think we all knew). But it was interesting hearing about how he had a 10 day "PTSD" episode after the cup finals and patched things up with Petro afterwards. Interesting to hear.

Blues did the right thing to not re-sign him in 2016 for that kind of term but I'm glad the guy got paid! He deserved the money.
