Series Thread: Cards v Phillies, May 16-17

Game 1: Monday @ 6:05 on FSMW (And possibly ESPN, hence the early start)
Game 2: Tuesday @ 7:15 on FSMW

Short two game series after this weekend's sweep. Facing a tough team, will be interesting to see if the Birds bounce back. I think, if Yahoo fantasy baseball notes are to be trusted, that Oswalt is coming off the DL to face us in Game 2 tomorrow night.

That could be a good thing or a bad thing. The guy is a vet, so he's going to be ready. But we can only hope there's some rust he needs to knock off, possibly to the tune of 5 IP, 6-7 ER.

It was only 2 games, but a sweep's a sweep. Big two wins over a good team. Now they need to make sure they play just as hard against Houston.

I went to both of these games. Hadn't seen a win in my first 4 games, so this was nice. I was really worried that we were going to get swept coming off of the Reds sweep, so this was really nice to see.

And, Tyler Greene, wtf. If Punto hadn't gone on the DL today, I think Greene reserved his seat in Memphis when Skip comes back. That just can't happen.
