Can you guys honestly say as movie fans that Slap Shot is a good movie? More Hanson Bros and less boring retarded gay-assed subplot and you'd have a winner, but for now, sub-par.

Honestly, I didn't care for it too much either. It was hyped up a LOT to me before I watched and honestly, it's not that great. I mean it has its moments and stuff but I just didn't really see why its labeled as an epic.

I think the first time I watched it was on TV where half the funny stuff was edited out. I had a similar reaction, "what's so great about this movie?" But after seeing the entire film I definitely appreciated it more. Not the greatest movie ever, but full of memorable scenes, quotes, and characters. I don't see how you could hate it.
