Re: Tramp Stamps for Kids
No offense, but I damned near spit drink out my nose when I read "crypt".
Let's not forget that there are a LOT more gangs than just the bloods and the crips. I've had Latin Kings, Latin Queens, MS 13's, bloods, crips, and probably others in my classes over the past 3 1/2 years... and I still have 28 years to go.
The ones I named are the ones I know as a fact have been students of mind.

Nope - you got the wrong guy. But if I did, that would probably smarten me up about those sort of things.OS wrote:Don't you work for a NoCo school district???marco wrote:I'm glad I made you laugh

There was a "student" at my first school who had a tramp stamp which, apparently, read "Bottom Bitch". I never actually looked, but my friend/colleague did and informed me of it. Apparently she was the high performing hooker. Unfortunately for her and for her pimp she got pregnant. These kids aren't even good at prostituting themselves.

Re: Tramp Stamps for Kids
While we're on this topic I got this e-mail and it kinda cracked me up..
The LGBT Equality Day in Jefferson City on Wednesday, March 26th was an amazing success with over 150 supporters turning out to educate their elected officials. The opening Rally for Equality reverberated equality through the rotunda of the Capital.
One event during the day greatly highlights the need for continued education and your urgent attention.
Two youth attempted to speak with Representative Jane Cunningham (R-86) regarding Safe Schools Legislation because of her position as chair of the House Education Committee. Upon entering Rep. Cunningham told the youth to leave, as she "couldn't look at [them] anymore," because their appearance "offended" her. Both youth have facial piercings as many students do. The youth thanked Rep. Cunningham for her time and left the office.
Directly following the youths' dismissal by Rep. Cunningham, another group of Volunteer Lobbyists met with the Representative and in asking why the last group of students were asked to leave the office, Rep. Cunningham stated:
"I don't see how any human being could look at them for any prolonged period of time without getting physically ill... I thought I would throw-up if I looked at them any longer."
Representative Jane Cunningham is chair of the Elementary and Secondary Education Committee of the Missouri House of Representatives. Her comments are out of line with someone in a position to protect and support a productive learning environment for students.
Please tell Rep. Cunningham to retract her comments and support a productive environment for all Missouri students.

Re: Tramp Stamps for Kids
Me and my roommate were talking about this, since she's the one who sent me the e-mail.. And we agree there's just a generation gap as far as tattoos and piercings in general go. 30-40 years ago it was not a mainstream thing at all. Generally was the trashiest of the trashy had them.. Now.. I probably know more people my age w/ them than w/out. It's not taboo or out of the ordinary at all. Will you see a CEO w/ full sleeve demon tats and a gauged septum ring anytime soon? Probably not, but it just seems weird to us how much this freaks some people out. But then I told her in 30-40 years there will probably be something the young people do then that they consider standard that will piss us off just b/c it's different to us.
FTR I'm not some ink/piercing freak.. I have one tattoo on my back and several earrings, but that's it. Though the original topic was kids w/ trampstamps which I think is more about the prostitot revolution than tattoos.

More proof that the reverberating messages in the rotunda are often dually noted and ignored.Mellanby_equals_grit wrote:While we're on this topic I got this e-mail and it kinda cracked me up..

seeing as how I'm 24 (can't be generational) and haven't had that situation yet, I don't know if I said that out of envy or pity.Mellanby_equals_grit wrote:I live with a girl.. Is this another generational debate?
Seeing as how your location is "the rape caves", it was probably out of envy

"the rape caves" was a line from Season 1 of Lost. It cracked me up.

Re: Tramp Stamps for Kids
Clair is attacked, around the same time they're having the debate to stay at the beach or at the caves.. And when Shannon hears about Clair's attack she yells "I am NOT staying at the rape caves!"

Re: Tramp Stamps for Kids
got it thx.
I was gonna watch each episode only once then have a marathon when they release all seasons on blu ray at once and watch them again; one episode a day would last 3 months, maybe?
