I recently found out that I have pretty high cholesterol, which wasn't a major surprise since it runs in the family, but the doctor was supposed to put me on a diet and have me come back to do the blood tests again. I've been trying to eat healthier so took this as a chance to try some things that I've wanted to try but never really did. I ate prickly pear today and got some very small, very hard to find and very painful spines caught in my hand. I can't see them, but they hurt like a motherfukker. I think I might rather have a bum ticker than these spines stuck in me.

My mom, having worked several years as a nurse at the NICU at Boone Hospital, was always really pissed when she and her co-workers would put a lot of pain, sweat, and tears into helping some newborn that didn't have much of a chance and the family wouldn't thank them a lick b/c it was their prayers that did it and not the staff.

It's called the passing lane for a reason. No matter how fast you're going, if you're not actively passing someone, GET THE (Frank) OVER.

Why even bother calling it "NHL on NBC"? It should be "New York Rangers Game of the Week"

I was just perusing the course catalog for my degree and they no longer require Data Structures I & II. So I had to suffer through those (franking) (bad word) (bad word)-sucking (bad word)ing piles of (bad word) torture and no one else, henceforth, does?! (Franking) Brenda. Grrr.

THat always pisses me off too. Like Jesus came down and loaded the person up in the ambulance and did CPR all the way to the hospital...

It pisses me off more when professional athletes thank the Lord for their performance... I am still waiting for someone from the losing team to say, "Well, I been sinning lately, so Christ keeps tackling me behind the line of scrimmage and making me fumble."

They are probably thanking god because he gave that athlete the give of being so good at that sport and that they stayed healthy enough to make it to a professional sports league. Not that Christ is helping them game in, game out like Angles in the Outfield.

You know what sucks? Opening a new DVD and discovering that the little spindley thing in the center of the case has broken, so there are busted pieces rattling all over the inside of the case. You know what sucks more? Pushing one of the 2 DVDs in the case back onto what's left of the spindley thing and having a new bit snap off and fly upward, smacking you directly in the eyeball. God DAMN, that stings.

A friend of mine some time ago let her boyfriend take a shot from between her boobs. Like a smart person would do she was looking down at him so as he flipped his head up he gave her a huge headbutt. This is on youtube... I'll try to find it when not at work.
