Think of trying to play a game while holding a Buick. XBox controllers suck.

I had PS and have PS2 and am so used to the controllers. I'm just wary to go with the PS3... I'm on my second PS2... I really want it for Rock Band and a couple other, multi platform games...

PS3. There are a lot of good games coming out for it. Just google search Killzone 2.

Loved Killzone no1. The sniper girl kicked serious ass.

If my first 360 hadn't red-ringed on me within 10 minutes of playing it (I hadn't even played a game yet) this would be an easy question.

Yeah, but those issues have already been addressed with the Falcon chipset.

Yeah, but those issues have already been addressed with the Falcon chipset.
So how do you know you are getting one with the good chipset?

I hate 3-$hitty.. I have my friend's Wii while he moved out of the country, and like it quite a bit.. If I was choosing between those 2 I would easily go with PS3, but really I like Wii better than both.

Games that are on both systems perform better on the 360.

I haven't played on a PS3... but I've always loved sports games so much more on a playstation than an Xbox.

Go for the PS3...
Their lineup of games is getting much better, and there are some really sweet titles arriving in the near future, along with the launch of Playstation Home (it's free too). PS3 had a rough first year, but things are starting to improve now and the system will be rolling soon.
Plus, the hardware itself is superior. And the Blu-Ray player is very good. I think the cheapest PS3 system is $399 now. It's not a bad deal...
My list of must own PS3 titles as of right now:
Resistance: Fall of Man
Call of Duty 4
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Warhawk
Motorstorm
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction
Kick ass games coming soon:
Killzone 2
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Little Big Planet
Final Fantasy XIII
Unreal Tournament 3
Soul Caliber IV
Tekken 6
Haze
Grand Theft Auto IV
God of War III
Rainbow Six Vegas 2
etc...
