I checked out some Lionize videos on youtube the other day. Some of their music was cool, but some of it was too hippie/reggae/jam band for my tastes. We're getting some dinner first and might miss part of their set, or does Wino go on first?

I'm hoping security isn't too tight and I can smuggle my mp3 player in and tape the show. I recorded Slayer and Lamb of God at the same venue on the Unholy Alliance tour. Last time I saw LOG there the security was more thorough though.

Oh I agree. But live it comes off as good disposable fun. It's hard to fight groove when they blasting it from a powerful PA.

I didn’t have Wino (Baroness instead), but Lionize was the first band of three when I saw them with Clutch.

We missed Lionize but saw all of Wino, and I managed to tape everything but Wino's first song. The quality turned out decent actually. Not much clipping this time, but the bass is weak because the built-in mic is not that great. Definitely listenable though. I will track it and upload it at some point.

Best part: they came back for the encore and played Spacegrass!! :woohoo: I hadn't heard that one live in like 7-8 years. They really tore it up too, and the whole place was electric.

leaving for brazil for work today...
pretty sure that qualifies as anti-bitching
except for the 14 hours of being in airports or on a plane.

Actually, the stereotype isn't totally accurate. It may be on the beaches of Rio, but not where i'm at (Tres Rios).
Now that being said, don't get me wrong, there are a fair amount of attractive women walking around compared to anywhere i've been in the states...i guess its about for every 10 women i meet or see, i would get into a bed with about 6 of them(all ages included), but they aren't absolutely nails. That percentage would be about 15-20%, which is higher than normal i would venture to say. Its definitely not every single women walking on the street though. As for that percentage (the absolutely nails ones) most don't have big brazilian booties, they are mostly very skinny and tall with a little curvature on them.
so, there you go, stereotype dispelled.

When I went to Brazil a few years back it was basically a smorgasboard of hotties.

In the clubs, my Brazilian friend who I was visiting told the girls I'm from the U.S. and the party was on.

But then again he could have told them I had a 12" beer can down there. That might explain some of the crying afterwards.

;)

Correct me if I'm wrong. But doesn't Brazil have the fasting growing rate of AIDS/HIV infection rates in the world?

I just created my first Ultimate Boot CD for Windows.

This thing is awesome for spyware/viral removal.

It was kind of a pain to get created at first because the XP source files on my machine was an OEM version and it wanted the "real" version of XP to get created.

Got my hands on that and cranked out my first boot CD.
