It is the reason why I won't buy guitar hero or garage band and didn't buy DDR. I would play nothing but seether and disturbed for hours! I also wish they had a difficulty between easy and medium, and different size guitar controllers. I've broken my wrist playing teh hockies, so I can't hold it there in that position for a long period of time without discomfort. There is a game mod that was on Attack of the Show that is $10 and allows users to upload songs and it is kind of like an airship racing game.

I'm gonna waste another 5 minutes of taxpayer money dreaming of custom Guitar Hero. Thanks, Curt.
PS, whatever happened to NHL games on the Wii?

I've modded my ps2 to play custom gh songs. The normal that are in the regular game aren't really hard enough . I have some videos on youtube, i'll post them when i get home.
or you could just type my account name "kreege" into youtube if you can't wait any longer.
This is what you need to do to be able to play custom gh songs:

So, did you mod your PS2? Or did you buy it already modded?
I've heard it's difficult to do...any truth to that?

The PS2 was the easiest console in the world to mod, aside from the Dreamcast. In fact, with the "Slide Magic" card, you don't even have to open the system to use the mod. As far as actually installing a mod chip, all you need is a small solder pen/gun, a mod chip, and a steady hand...it's really quite easy, even for a novice solderer.

ruutu is right. It's extremely easy to mod. The actual software part(making the custom cd, messing with the game's files, syncing the custom charts with the mp3s) is probably more confusing than the modding part if you don't know what your doing.
As far as the modding goes, you need a way for the ps2 to play burned dvds. There is software known as "swap magic" that does the job quite well. The only thing is you need a way to remove the swap magic disc from the ps2 and replace it with the burned disc without your ps2 realizing what is going on. This is where the modding comes in. I got a "flip top" mod thing. Its basically a hole in the top of the case of my ps2 that allows you to remove one cd and replace it with another. You don't even need to mess with the computer components of the system while modding it, you just need to replace the case.
just google "swap magic" or "ps2 flip top mod". I got mine in a combo package for like 35$. Once you have the ps2 modded use that link i gave you earlier and you'll be able to play custom gh songs :D .
