Duncan Sucks

Duncan sucks. He sucked the last half of last year, he sucked in spring training...and he sucks this season so far.
All three losses have come when he has started and they are 2-3 when he plays. The Cardinals are 6-0 when Duncan starts the game on the bench.

Bench his .188 hitting ass.

I dont' know about you, but I really like the idea of a lineup with Schumaker and Barton at the top. Maybe we can teach one of those guys to play IF so we can have both Ludwick and Ankiel in the lineup too. :D

Ankiel sucks on the road.

Duncan needs to get his bat going. He's played well defensively so far I think.

Well, Duncan started today.
He's 0-2 so far...and we're losing now 2-0.
Not that it's all his fault, nobody has a hit for us yet. :?

He's now batting .167 on the season.

Some may say that he needs to play to get his bat going. But his bat wasn't going the last half of last year, or spring training, or this year so far. How long do we wait? You have to first have a bat before you can get it going.

And he singles in the 10th to drive in a run.

Figures. As soon as I post a thread about it...he has a good game.

I think Duncan is our most valuable trade chip in the outfield. Any team that's looking for a DH, notably a guy who has the versatility to play 1B and OF, would benefit having a guy like this on the team. He's more valuable in the AL than he is in the NL.

And if we trade him, that means Colby Rasmus will get here sooner.

I wouldn't be opposed to that, but I would wait a few months. Maybe get us a middle infielder and/or reliever.

Definitely. My hope is that he and Anthony Reyes can get off to solid starts and showcase their talents over the next month or two and maybe be packaged to acquire us a major league ready shortstop. I don't know, maybe I'm dreaming, but we've got a TON of trade chips this year, so it'll be nice to see what we can do with them.

Furcal perhaps, if the Dodgers have a bad season. I do agree we have more trade chips then we have had in years. Rasmus really makes a lot of that possible.
