Oh Noes! Shipping trouble

Hey guys. I bought some Cards tickets to the game on Friday and the seller printed off the label today. On the note and shipping address after the auction I said to ship it to my new apartment address. Its the same street address just a different apartment. He sent it to the old one and now I am faced with possibly not getting the tickets in time. Anyone know if it's possible to contact the USPS and have them hold the mail in the Columbia Post Office to be picked up when it arrives instead of sending it back to him? I'm still waiting to hear from him whether he actually shipped it or just printed the label. I'd gladly pay the guy a little extra for his trouble (even though he should have seen my comments) if he could fix the address. Let me know!

Who did you get the tickets through? If it was the Cardinals, you can call them and have them print you out new tickets if you don't get them but I think they will charge you for that.

That is what I was going to suggest doing if necessary. That should take care of it.

The only way I've ever been able to pull this off is by calling the ups store by my house. Luckily he was a nice guy and went out of his way for me (can't guarantee this for all locations, I live in affton). I couldn't be home to pick up the package (which was actually a computer, not tickets...but tickets are much more time-dependent), so he contacted the driver and re-routed the package to his store as opposed to my house. I was lucky enough to catch the UPS guy in the parking lot anyway, but that was just good timing...

It should all work out now. I talked the the USPS and they are letting the mail carrier know about it. Also, the seller emailed me back and said he can just email me the tickets through the Cardinals (why he didn't advertise this on Ebay I dont know) just in case they don't arrive in time. He's been very helpful so it should all be fine now. Now I just need for it not to storm that night.

Thanks for the advice everyone!
