Series Thread: Cards @ Brewers

Here we go again.

Manny Parra of the 5+ ERA and yet to have pitched more than 5 1/3 innings this season against Wellemeyer. Time for that trend of the Cards not winning against crappy pitchers to end tonight. Yes, the Brewers got wins in both of Parra's starts vs St Louis this season, even if it wasn't due to Parra's pitching.

See...this is the weird thing....

Face a good starting pitcher, the Cards find a way to win. Still holding true to form this season, other than the games against the Giants Lincecum.

Heck of a comeback... of course it was against Gagne

Are the Cardinals trying to throw the game today??

Pujols caught stealing.
Izturis swinging at a first pitch with the bases loaded and 2 out after Suppan had walked Duncan, Glaus and Looper.
Pujols out at 3rd trying to take an extra base.
Glaus caught stealing.

This isn't "smart" baseball.

Plus:
and it continues. Cards can't beat bad pitching. Suppan hadn't won since Apr 02 and was coming off back-to-back losses. I'd rather see the Cards face good pitchers every night. They win those games.

We'll see what happens with Wainwright up against another 0-4, 6+ ERA pitcher. Judging by recent trends in Cards hitting, Wainwright will wind up with a no decision.

Yea, I don't get it.

After it went to 6-1. I stopped watching. I can't stand watching this team when they are down by that many runs.

Did you at least get to see Molina strip his gear? That was AWESOME!

I missed that, but I did catch that on the Cardinals site. Pretty funny, but I expect a suspension for Yadi. However, the ump didn't have to get in front of Yadi. I think that set Yadi off more.

If they suspend Yadi, they oughta suspend the ump for the way he was squeezing the strike zone for specific batters.

About had a heart attack when Gagne had a save last night against the Dodgers

He's a shadow of his former self.

I know a lot of baseball is left to be played but the Brewers are putting themselves out of it early here in the NL Central...
