So, I just got home from working on an ambulance in Washington Park last night. For those of you who don't know, one of our trucks was transporting a patient with multiple gun shot wounds to the ER when they were ambushed on I-64. These animals pulled up alog side the truck and opened fire with an AK-47 hitting one of our EMT's.

Who the (Frank) would shoot an ambulance.

Trying to help someone for a lousy $9 and hour.

I've heard that EMTs being shot at in the city isn't really that uncommon. I know someone who is a paramedic for Abbott downtown. He said some EMTs wear bulletproof vests.

It's really cool when some fukkhead calls the ambulance just to get a ride down to Barnes and then walks away.

In fairness though when I play GTA if some paramedic comes along and saves the guy i just shot or ran over or stabbed, I wanna kill him too.

I saw that on the news. Pretty shitty deal. It ranks down there with that postal worker who got shot a few weeks back. I think that a high calibur weapon should be standard issue when you work in an area full of idiots.

My personal guess is that the Kalashnikov boys weren't TRYING to hit the EMT's, they were trying to finish off their target that was riding in the back on the stretcher. Wrong place, wrong time, with the wrong person

Doesn't make it right but if a bunch of gang bangers need to finish someone off, they probably aren't gonna care if they have to shoot at some innocent EMT's in the process.

True, our guy wasn't the target, but they sure as (Frank) didn't care if they hit him or not.

Yeah, I kill hookers with a bat in that game for a rebate, doesn't make it "fair" in real life.

My job requires me to be around the craziest people in St. Louis, but none of them ever open fire on me, so I guess I got that going.. Rough job man. Always amazes me that the roughest jobs that take the utmost patience and drive have the crappiest pay. But what can ya do.

I really don't know how this board would survive without your analyses. I mean, you come up with stuff that just blows my mind.

How did you develop such original insight into things? I want to know. I never would have guessed that the gangbangers were still trying to finish the guy off. That is thinking way above me. And to conclude that they wouldn't care if they shot an innocent person in the process? Woah. I mean, yeah, they accidently shoot infants and toddlers all the time, but to understand that a paramedic would be fair game too? Woah, dude. You're on a whole other level.

So, it seems like you were trying to address what you perceived to be somebody else not understanding that perhaps the perpetrator was trying to make sure the victim was indeed dead, even after he was placed into the ambulance.

Your second comment appears to be an insult directed toward me: "you're a great guy"

Senior year starting this fall, triple major and a minor. 3.64 GPA cumulative. Yes sir, I will be graduating and on time.
