No...not a sequel. They just did it right this time.
And there will be another one...at least based on the ending of this one.

You guys are high. This movie was good. As far as comic book movies go, it wasn't as good as Sin City or anything like that...but it was really good. One of the better comic book movies I've seen. Maybe top three.
Just off the top of my head...
1) Sin City
2) Batman Begins
3) Incredible Hulk

I haven't seen Ironman. Heard good things...and we'll probably go see it this week before it leaves the theaters.

woo! More Hulk fans. 2003 Hulk wasnt all that great, but I liked it anyway.
but this new Hulk movie is pure tits!
I'd say that Iron Man is better (you really cant top Downey Jr. as Tony Stark)
I'd give Iron Man a 9.5 and the Hulk an 8.5/9

They are both easily the top Marvel movies right now.
Iron Man 2 is set for 2010
Captain America: The First Avenger June 2011
The Avengers July 2011

Hopefully Hulk 2 will be in there somewhere.
oh, and Thor is 2010 or something

I'm just sick of Hollywood shoving these superhero movies down our throats. How much can one take? Seriously. All of them are filled with cheap thrills, cheesy romantic side stories, and overdone CG sequences. Also, they're too fukking long. Sin City was cool because it was much different than the normal superhero junk Hollywood spews.

I have always said I am not a comic book guy at all. That being said the last couple of "super hero" movies have been done pretty well. I think they are finally getting to the point where they can get GOOD actors and GOOD directors to do the movies now.

The last Batman movie with Beal was alot better than I thought it would be and I am looking forward to the next one. The Ironman movie was one of the best to start a franchise since Reeves was Superman. At the end of the credits when the comic book geeks creamed their pants I had no clue what was going on till I got home and read up online. They are setting up major actors for one major movie. And that has me wanting to see the next movies. They are finally doing it right to pull in people that are not comic book fans.

Hollywood is running out of ideas(?/.)

I'm voting for a Star Wars VII, VIII & IX

I disagree on the "cheap thrills" and "overdone CG" comment. It's a comic book movie. It's supposed to be over the top, IMO.
And the cheesy romantic side story wasn't cheesy, IMO. It was there...but it didn't dominate the plot by any means. I actually like Liv Tyler in this movie. I thought she did a good job and wasn't corny or cheesy.

Meh...to each their own.
I really liked it...and I'm looking forward to Ironman.

Comic book movies are highly retarded. There would be no circumstance, before having a kid, under which I would subject myself to that drivel. :)

Hmm...well...I thought Hulk was really good. I recommended it because I think most people would like it.
Hell, most of the auditorium clapped when it was over. You don't see that a whole lot.

And FWIW...
rottentomato.com likes the Hulk.
The Rotten Tomato critics gave it a 65%...which is decent/good.
Their community gave it an 88%...which is pretty high.
Not that it means a whole lot...just throwing it out there.

I heard someone compare The Hulk to Transformers...which I didn't think was right. I thought Hulk was much better. Transformers was a let down, IMO.

The only comparison I could see is that both movies had these massive entities fighting and you couldn't really decipher the details of what was happening within the fight. Maybe it isn't a valid comparison but it is something that irked me about both films.

I hate it when people clap at the end of a movie in a theater.

Yeah, but I already had figured out the same people who are tools enough to do that are the same people who think "oh sweet! Hollywood has pumped out ANOTHER movie from a comic book in hopes of making lots of Burger King toys!". So you had to figure those elements get combined.
