No link as of yet, but I just heard it on the radio, and it's listed as a 'recent death' on Wikipedia...

He was my favorite comic by a mile.
Among friends and family, I am known to laugh hysterically when he does his act(s).
Just last week, I programmed the DVR to catch three of his old specials coming on this week, that I was unsure whether I had seen or not.

The last of the comic-philosophers have passed, heralding the age of the Dane Cook comedian.
Truly a sad day.

The man taught me more love of language than any English teacher was ever able.

It's not going to be the same with Fillmore having a different voice in Cars 2.

Yes, along with one of the Balwin brothers and some less famous guy.
(Can you tell I have kids?)

It's Alec (can you tell I have kids also?).
I always giggle a little inside when hearing Carlin talk about Thomas and Sir Topham Hat.

I was never a big fan of his comedy. He was funny and all...but nothing outstanding, imo.

I know I'm behind on this...
I discovered his work a couple of years ago. The man was an absolute (frank)ing genius. Whether talking about politics, language, or things like what to call that little ridge on your upper lip below your nose, he was a mastery of delivery, wit, cynicism and timing....
More than making me laugh, he made me think.......
