If that was the only beer at a party or bar, I'd drink it. :|

I've never had Schlitz...but I have about a dozen different Schlitz cans in my beer can collection (which is all boxed up  ).

I'd like to try it.

wtf is the point of having it in the collection if youve never actually factually drank da shiznizzle?

I started collecting beer cans when I was like 14 years old and the cans were empty when I would acquire them.
My dad used to work for Heilman brewing company's Stag Brewery in Belleville back in the day, and he'd bring me all kinds of empties to add to the collection. (Heilman put out a crapload of different beers)
It was cool, because he'd bring me the cans sealed and empty (basically skipping the filling process on the bottling line), so there were no puncture holes from draining the beer. Collectors would normally poke small holes in the bottom of cans and drain the beer out that way, so as to preserve the top of the can.

I have hundreds of different brands of beer cans and sadly, I hadn't sampled most of them because I was so young when I acquired most of the collection.
When we moved into this house seven years ago, the cans went into boxes during the move and they are still there.
Maybe I'll find a place for them in my man cave at the new house.

Hey Curt --- one of my friend's parents bought a house a few years ago and in the basement two entire walls are covered from ceiling to floor with old beer cans. I couldn't tell you anything about the brands that they have other than I do remember there were like three cans of QT beer... and the QT logo was the same as the QuikTrip gas stations that are all over St Louis now.

Well, I guess there's one advantage to being old. I remember what Schlitz was like before they changed the formula. The original Schlitz was awesome -- smooth and tasty. The changed formula was crap. I remember the taste of Falstaff too. Do they still brew 905 and Stag? I hope not. They were horrible.

Stag, unfortunately, is every where out where I live. The stuff is just awful.

I'd rather drink Stag than Bud Light. I can't find it anywhere in Denver, so I bought a 12-pack when I was in St. Louis last month so I'd have some for my camping trip a few weekends ago. I drink Stag!

The only time I had ever drank Stag was my sophomore year of college around 7:30am.. Was still partying and everything else was out.

I actually didn't mind it too much, but as you could imagine I was already more than gone.

I'm not a big fan of Bud Light either. I can water down my own Budweiser if I want Bud Light.

Back in the day, the joke you used to hear in bars in St. Louis was "flush twice, your piss has to go all the way to Belleville". Get it? Stag is brewed in Belleville.

It has to be so cold that it hurts your teeth before its drinkable,it's better on draft though.
