Leave your valuables at home

If you want to keep them. I got my car broke into on Chestnut Friday during the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (yeah, I know, but it really is a great show and great date) concert at the Scott. Nothing was actually missing. They apparently saw my Sirius antenna and were after the radio, but I left it at home for just that reason. The little spot where my car kit was sitting was dug through, my counsel, and glove box as well. They left my girlfriends full pack of cigs, coupons for $50 worth of carwashes, a roll of quarters, etc. So, I didn't lose anything but my door is a little effed up. I heard that about 10 cars got broke into on the $20 lot by the train during a Blues game a few weeks ago.
I wonder who they voted for.

Felons can't vote.. That's the good part about where I work.. Even though it's downtown; we share the building with the city traffic court, city probation, and city marshals.. You'd have to have nothing going on upstairs to f*ck with the cars in our lot.

Although most of that crap probably happens at night anyways.

I already leave all my valuables at home. Going to Downtown Crimeville usually means I won't be taking anything with me I don't need that I want to go home with.

Had my car broken into for my radar detector- don't remember exactly how much it was worth but I know it was under $100.

Still, there's no feeling in the world like feeling your heart drop to your stomach when you realize your car got broken in to.

I'm almost positive someone tried to break into my truck at Paddy O's the night the rest of those cars got jacked at ScottTrade.

My window was down about 2-3 inches and it was cooold that night. No way I had my window down so I'm guessing someone interrupted the deed and I lucked out.

I once went to my car in the morning to find that the entire contents of my glove compartment were emptied onto the passenger seat. The crackhead who broke into my car got my factory stereo halfway out, and left the $100 bill that was in the glovebox with the rest of the stuff on the passenger seat.

Somebody did that to me once, too, when I still lived at my old apartment (in west county). Didn't take anything, but pulled everything out of the console and glove compartment and slung it all around the car. Effing losers. It was probably my neighbors, taking a break from installing super-sweet off-color spoilers and giant Mexican-themed window stickers on their own cars.

I always stash my lawyer in the trunk to avoid this exact situation.

Believe it or not I actually was a great speller when I was younger. Years of not really writing anything takes it's toll. Don't laugh. It will happen to you!!! Now I really don't give a damn. If ya can't figure out what I mean, who's the dummy?
