Saw this on Deadspin, and, wouldn't you know it, it's true.

True, but I rarely check stltoday, since the work computers don't seem to like loading that page in under 10 minutes.

I want this to somehow happen just to see the reaction from the local sportswriters.

The older Cards fans would probably "not get the whole Man-Ram" thing and the younger ones could end up loving him...if the Cards hang up the 11th banner, I'd say it would be worth it.

he would have to make a big change with his attitude if he played with us. i wouldn't mind his offense but the cardinals fans will not tolerate his defensive skills. he would have to prove that he is willing to try and get better, which i am sure he could if he gave a fack.
that said i don't think we would pay him what he would want...

I would absolutely take a chance on Manny. However, it's a non issue with our cheap offseason.

They already have a surplus of outfielders. Granted, none capable of his stats, but for the money it would take they coulda had Fuentes and a starter, which are bigger needs.

The artificial made Man-Ram is playing for the minor league Isotopes during his 50 game suspension tonight. What a drug program!

Yeah, he "played" here in Albuquerque for a 3 game stint. The first two games, he played DH, and you could tell he was just going through the motions. During the 3rd game, there was a rain delay, and he walked out the back door and left the stadium, didnt even bother to play! What a guy
