yes. the tension is very high and it's very easy to pick fast, plus it gives it a very tinny tone.

Not sure where you saw this, but those are two things I can think of off the top of my head.

This guy is quite an excellent bassist, though not heralded like Victor Wooten, Jaco, etc. Impressive songwriting and slapping ability.

I don't even understand how to get sound that way. I try to mimic it and it sounds like every note but the right one.
