I've often thought about this- what happens when people get SO fat that they can't even use the machinery or gym equipment that would most allow them to lose weight, what do they do then?

... other than lypo

Ummm...walking or jogging can be done outdoors. No machines needed for that.

But to be honest, you'd be surprised how much weight you can lose just by improving your diet and eating habits.

I wouldn't say I'm overweight per se but I could definitely stand to lose a few lbs. I used to be pretty active but sitting around all day at my office job has started to take a toll. The last couple months or so I've began cutting out a few things here and there - mainly soda and snack foods that I'd grab during the day; chips, baked goods, etc. and I've already seen some results. If someone asked me I probably wouldn't even say I'm on a diet but it works like that.

Granted, I've also begun an exercise program which has helped as well I'm sure, but most of them (including the one I'm on) actually say in the booklet that success on their system is based on about 75% diet and only 25% exercise. With those numbers you could definitely say that you don't NEED to work out to lose weight.
