Just in time for the season! :okman:

Having a Blues fan born on 9/9/09 is good luck fellas...this is a good sign.

Everything went pretty well...it was an exhausting day, but everything turned out great.

Awesome! I think my son got that exact same hat in the hospital. He'll be two in a few months. It goes by fast!

Accept any help that anybody offers the first few weeks. You'll need it! 9/9/9 is a cool birthday, and easy to remember.

Copycat!

Our first kid was born 2 weeks ago.

If you think the first day is exhausting... just you wait... just you wait...

Here's mine...

Arthur Enrique

Born 8/27/09
9 lbs 1 oz (Now 9 lbs 15 oz)
21"

And I got ya beat, my kids not going to be a Blues fan, he's going to be the Blues star center for 20 years. I'm pretty sure of that. Either that or an assistant night manager at Quicktrip.

Awesome.

Yup, the delivery day was exhausting because of the timing of it. We went to the hostpital at midnight, right before we were getting ready for bed, and the labor was 18 1/2 hours...so we got zip as far as sleep was concerned...which made it rough, but we got through it.
And yeah, I know I've got some exhausting days ahead of us. We'll see how it goes. She's been great so far...not too crabby at all, pretty cooperative, etc...but I know that can change at a moment's notice.

So yours is going to be a star center for the Blues eh? Wanna arrange this marriage now? 8)

Keep her away from red wings fans who might attempt to court her.

Yeah...the epidural and the magnesium she was given about six hours in slowed things down quite a bit.
This is pure speculation on my part, but had she not been given magnesium for her blood pressure during the labor, that would have shaved four or five hours off of the labor time.

The lack of sleep...not so bad really.
Last night she slept for a 3 hour and 4 hour stretch...so I was only up once.
Usually I'm up two to three times a night though. Just long enough to change a diaper and hand her off to the wife...maybe around five minutes. Then it's right back to sleep.

Hope everything is ok.

We're dealing with a fussy kid who doesn't seem to want to go to sleep for long stretches during the day. :?

Did you know these babies...they like to cry a lot? Who knew?

Yes, quite the pain in the ass sometimes.

Turns out ours had acid reflux, and now that he is on medicine for it, he's being way way better. He still doesn't sleep much during the day, but he's pretty good at night... although he still demands constant attention, holding, tickling, interacting, etc... but he's happy. And when he's happy, everyone is happy.

Imagine how the Blues trainers feel having to change Walt's diapers all the time.

P.S. Congrats guys. I've got two daughters myself and the 11 year old is a HUGE Blues fans and it one of the neatest things in the world.
