I'm interested in watching some movies... possibly downloading them... but they have to be cheap. Preferably free.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Red Box.
Better yet, get a free rental code for Red Box and go there with a wallet full of credit cards. You can use the code once per credit card.
I routinely walk away from a Red Box with a few movies and never pay a dime.

I'm too cheap to buy movies, so I just make my own. Just like Hollywood, I do sequels and remakes of all my old favorite movies. You should see my version of Willow 2. Now Willow has become an evil sorcerer and has kidnapped the son of the now-grown-up Elora, and she must track him down. The epic battle scene was shot in my backyard using fireworks to simulate the magic spells. Here's a clip:

Lately I've been watching a lot of classic horror movies on internet archive (free download w/o registering).

Ghost Train, White Zombie, Night of the Living Dead are great... be sure you're drunk too when you watch them. Much more enjoyable.

surfthechannel.com - lots of streaming tv/movies

It's not the best quality, but if you're bored you can usually find something to watch.
