Found on the back page of the Sunday Fargo Forum:

I want to meet the guy on the right in the picture on the right and buy him a beer. Then I'd like to meet the editor of the paper and buy him whatever kids his age like to play with these days.

Discuss.

Is anyone else as confused about this as I am? I've looked at this picture many times, what am I supposed to be seeing?

Read the caption for the picture... out loud if necessary. All things will become clear.

Though it's partially cut off, I assume that the headline reads "no significant snowfall forecast over next few days"

In which case, if that's the joke, I have to say that there is nothing wrong with the headline at all.

It states that there's no snow in the forecast. Snow that has already fallen isn't forecast anymore, it's past news. If it did, in fact, not snow for the next few days after this article was written, then it was completely accurate.

If that's not the joke then I also don't get it. Maybe I'm pronouncing the guys names incorrectly?

OK. the second name in the caption under the picture. sound it out. pretty sure you'll get it. if not, try this: http://www.snopes.com/media/goofs/heywood.asp. If not, I yield.

I am slow as shit....

I hope that's not the guys real name. If it is, that's the most unfortunate situation, even more so than the guy I knew named Richard Dick.

ROFL. Turns out I know the guy. It's not his real name. He's a college kid who knows a good punking opportunity when he sees one.

My wife went to school with a Harold Dick. Every year, teachers would ask if he would like to go by Harry. Every year, he would say no, not so much. Rumor has it his middle name was Balzand

The fact that you just there made two grammatically correct sentences that clearly conveyed rational thought means that you have never, ever, ever worked for or been published in the Fargo Forum.

we had a student a couple years back who was, according to her mother, named after her father.

The name? Shithead.

The pronunciation: Shih-thee-ahd.

The pronunciation didn't make the name any better.
