"Prolly" is one I'm ok with. It's shorthand. "Should of" bugs me -- it's improper use of the words. If you wanna use the shorthand "Shoulda", I'm ok with that too... but in things like text messages and hockey-dork-infested online forums, it's pretty casual, so I don't get my boxers in a bunch. However, when I see poor grammar in work emails, documentation, News reports, and other "formal" communications, it just irks me to the point of nausea to see poor grammar. It just immediately calls the writer out as uneducated and lacking credibility.

"I fenna" = "I am going to"

That's my favorite.

It's "lose" not "loose" when you misplace something. That bugs me most.

Just sayin'...

These only bother me when someone strings a bunch of them together in a single sentence.

Something like, "I prolly shud of thot a that b4 txtin ur gf...sry man." would make me unhappy. Basically every post by STLADOGG is like this if you want a living reference.

If I hear "hella" in a serious conversation...I give a look of, "wft?".

If I use "hella", i'm joking around.

I don't think I'll ever stop using the word, "cool"...or..."awesome". I hope those words never get lame or dated...otherwise I'm in trouble.
I'm sure when my daughter gets into high school, cool and awesome will have gone the way of the dodo...and I'll be a dork. :?

I had a roommate in college about 14 years ago that said "hella" all the time. I think that was the first time I'd heard anybody use it. Henry was an interesting dude and an entertaining roommate though.
