I like Castle on Monday night at 9. Of course I DVR it so I can watch MNF.
Discuss the St. Louis Blues, the NHL, or whatever.

Totally agree. Some of the relationships really work and others (like the Lori/Shane one) seem forced even though they established the relationship early on last season. For some reason it just seems annoying rather than real. It also seems to completely derail any episode it's featured in.dmiles2186 wrote: I mean seriously, the Lori/Shane thing needs to either hit the fan or get resolved because I really don't care haha.
Exactly. I like the dynamic of it (I mean, who wouldn't blame Lori for moving on thinking her husband wasn't coming back?), but they're just dragging it out and going nowhere. If everything comes to a climax, then maybe it will be interesting, but a lot of times, with plot lines like these, you are so tired of them when they finally do reach that apex.Portland Blues wrote:Totally agree. NBC is the King of Crappy Decisions.dmiles2186 wrote:Apparently NBC has pulled Community from it's midseason lineup. I hate you, NBC.
Update - I bailed on The Walking Dead after the 2nd episode this season. If you're hanging in there hopefully it's gotten better.dmiles2186 wrote:Exactly. I've been watching but it's been frustrating. My wife and I go to our friend's house to watch every Sunday. But we're all disappointed. It's had some high points....and some low points too. I'm hoping things turn around.Portland Blues wrote:Update - I bailed on The Walking Dead after the 2nd episode this season. I never liked Community. Gave it a try a couple times...meh.ViPeRx007 wrote:NBC is the King of Crappy Decisions.dmiles2186 wrote:Apparently NBC has pulled Community from it's midseason lineup. I hate you, NBC.
I watched it in the middle of season 1 and didn't like it but once the DVD was out I watched the whole thing and was hooked. It's such a fun and creative show but I can see why it hasn't found a mass audience. It's one of those shows that I think sticks to a certain group but no matter how hard they try to make it more appealing, it's only going to stay with a limited following. Which is okay, I suppose. If we get 3 seasons, I'll be okay.cprice12 wrote:I never liked Community. Two of my favorite shows ever. I agree about Breaking Bad...it's been great since day one. Only 16 more new episodes left.cprice12 wrote:Holy shit Breaking Bad is a great show! One of the best I've ever seen.
We finished season 3 and are waiting for season 4 to come out on DVD now.
With a lot of shows, season one is great and it tails off from there. Breaking Bad started off great and just seems to get better and better.
We're also watching Six Feet Under...we just started season 2. It's pretty good...so far, not as good as Breaking Bad or some other series I've watched. But it's good.

Any of the Walking Dead people in here stick out season 2? If so, what are your thoughts?
Yep, I agree. I hope it's not a show that just piddles around for 10 episodes and then hits you with twist after twist in the final 2-3 episodes. But Robert Kirkman was on Talking Dead after the finale and said that they were going to keep the intensity of the episodes up through season 3. I hope that's the case. You could really tell where the switch in show runners took place. The show was a bit more focused and consistent once Glen Mazzara took over for Frank Darabont.DaDitka wrote:dmiles2186 wrote:

They really needed those last two/three episodes to pull out the season, But they really did (bring it back around)
I thought the 'new' Rick really was a nice touch.
I'm not saying it was a great end to the season, but it was a HUGE improvement over the majority of the season.
They are really going to need a strong season next, but there is plenty of story line to work with to get there.
