Ubaldo Jiminez v. the Braves.

Rockies first ever, if I'm not mistaken.

It's amazing to me that the Mets have failed to have a single no-hitter in 48 years.

They may have come from very crappy beginnings, but they've had a bunch of really good teams too, and a lot of talented starting pitchers throughout the years.

The next team to break down the "no-hitter club" door will be the Rays, mark my words. Garza, Price and Davis all have the stuff to do it. Then it'll be just the Padres and the Mets left trying to figure out how the heck to get it done.

Dallas Braden with the perfect game against probably the best balanced, and youngest up and coming team in the AL.

Stick it, A-Rod!

Hell even the Royals have a no hitter. The Mets truly suck.

As I recall, that was Saberhagen, who eventually ended up a Met and ended up being a component of one of the worst Mets teams ever.

Funny thing about Saberhagen, we used to dock our boat down the end of one of the many canals entering the Great South Bay. When he was still a Met, he bought a property at the end of that canal, had the original house practically torn down and built a new house something along the lines of 3 or 4 million dollars. Huge freakin' house, absolutely stunning.

The night he was traded to the Rockies, one of our dock neighbors was out fishing for weakfish at the mouth of the canal, and he could very easily hear Saberhagen on the phone cursing out his agent because he had expected to be traded to Boston so that he could easily commute back and forth to the house after home games.

Hell, I read 'no hitter' and thought this thread was about the Card's line-up.

Wow, Doc Holliday. Now we have 2 perfect games in the same season, first time since 1880.

Armando Gallaraga should be in this thread but isn't because of Jim Joyce. Holy god what a bad call.

That sum'bitch got ROBBED. That was so clearly an out, by at least a step, if not a step and a half.

In a situation like that, you call him out no matter how bang-bang it was (and it was barely bang-bang at that). Jim Joyce should be fired immediately.

As far as I'm concerned, Armando had the 3rd perfect game this year, which is unprecedented.

And someone in fantasy baseball cheats. Who has him on their roster?

I hear the kid got some kind of convertible from the Tigers for his blown no-hitter. That should come out of Joyce's pocket.

This is the only time that I will agree with people and say that the MLB needs replay.

Does a no hitter count when you give up 8-some walks? Holy crapola.

I guess that's how his pitch count almost got half way to 300.

LI Express 24 cheats!

Wait, that's me.

Actually, yahoo needs to fix it up because they gave Garza credit for a perfect game.
