Hopefully the bats keep going. I believe Dodger Stadium is a lot bigger than the one in Arizona (is it still called the BOB?). So, a lot of those cheap HRs we got where the ball just hung up and barely cleared the wall will be warning track outs. But, even still, I'm feeling confident.

Chalk up another W. Threriot with a 6 game hit streak, Colby with a 7 game hit streak. Garcia gets his 2nd win. 3 wins in a row. I like it.

why do you hate him? I hated him when he was in blue, but was always fond of the way he played.

The best thing that Theriot did was as soon as he joined up with the Cardinals he was quoted in the paper as saying, "Now I'm on the right side of the rivalry." If that doesn't endear you to Cardinals fans, I don't know what does.

I should also mention that this pissed a lot of Cubbies off. Even better.

My problem is this team is already one of the worst defensively in the league and he is less then 'average' defensively IMO (the 'team' guys try and sell him as average, but he's really not) and he's not good enough at the plate to make up for it.

I will give you that, but it's not his fault. Management was the one that traded for him and then traded Brendan Ryan. He's just a piece of the puzzle, so to speak. It's early in the season. He hasn't done anything for me to hate him just yet.

I just think Ryan was another talented athlete that Tony ruined instead of nurturing, and Theriot is a serious downgrade.

On that not though, it's GREAT to see Rasmus excelling despite Tony (and Albert's) dislike. He's a private and quite kid, and he's handling it right by letting his bat do the talking.

I was a big Ryan fan, but, from what I've heard he did it to himself. Ryan had a habit of missing or showing up late for meetings. He also didn't endear himself to teammates in the clubhouse down the stretch last year. He actually was voted nearly unanimously to get cut out of Spring Training a year or two ago, but ownership overruled the vote because fans loved his energy.

I understand, and Ryan may have been a helpless cause, but Tony has always struggled to 'help' kids and there are no veterans in the club hose that help.

As much as I hate Jackman, I love the story about how he had Oshie come over to his house to watch the road game he missed. When Walt and the vet's gave TJ the hair cut after his drunken video it woke him up (for a little while).

Will Clark did that with Drew while he was here and JD really responded.

Right now that club house is 'kiss Albert and Yaddie's asses or get out of the way'.

Anyways...enough of that tangent........I think Theriot is a liability at the plate and in the field, generally at shotstop teams tolerate one because of a strength in the other, not weakness in both phases. I understand he plays hard and is supposed to be a 'good guy', he's just not a good baseball player anymore.

Sign of the appocalypse: DaDitka and I are in 100% agreement on Theriot.

And, I definitely agree on Tony too. His biggest weakness is dealing with young players. He's very old school, and it's his way or the highway. That's fine to a point, but I think his ego takes it the extra step to make it a liability as a manager.

He would have said the same exact thing if he was a Card first and then ended up a Cubbie.

Probably true.

Berkman just won't cool down. On pace for almost 60 HRs LOL.

Make that over 60. Obviously hell cool off at some point. But what a start.
