They've scored 6 again. And Big Albert with another HR. To all the knee jerk reactors on the interwebs, that just means his contract went up eleventy million dollars a year! ZOMG!

This will sound weird but I'm still a little worried about out offense. 57 runs in 6 games is phenomenal. But I'm concerned we will be feast or famine which makes us prone to streakiness.
Time will tell, but id rather score 4-5 consistently than score 10 one week and 60 the next.
I'm obv very pleased with how we look right now though.

Pujols is starting to get more expensive for Washington, but they'll pony up. How many games left for Albert Juiceholes in a Cards uni?

Surely this is the last straw, right?
If it's not, I think everybody should jump on the Franklin bandwagon so LaRussa's ego can prove us wrong by taking him out of the closer role.

I could be wrong about this...but if I recall, Franklin has been in 5 save situations and had blown 4 of them. Is that right? Or are my numbers a bit off?

That sounds about right to me.

Yep, that is accurate. In fairness, he has had a little bad luck (Rasmus error in SF, inheriting tying run on 2nd base w/ no outs today, etc.) But, that's only relevant if he's generally solid and going through a rough stretch. If he had this 5 game stretch in June after a solid 2 months, I'd be much more willing to let him work through it.

Franklin has always flirted with danger and never had very good stuff. He can't afford bad luck or to be just a 'bit' off.
