Yeah, Tony finally declares he's not going to have Franklin close last night and the baseball gods thought they'd give him another 18 hours to reconsider.

Oh thank god. I just glanced at what I thought was the score and saw we lost in the bottom of the 9th. I was about to blow some shit up...

Split the double header. Rubber match tomorrow. Let's get it.

I'm pleased with how yesterday went.

Westbrook sucked, but I expect him to suck. 11 runs in a double-header is good. I assume Garcia was decent. I didn't get to see him pitch as I was at work, but 1ER in 5IP is decent. And, Boggs was great in the 9th. He shouldn't be given the title of closer yet, but nobody else should close until he proves he can't do it.

Lance Berkman is working out pretty well for us so far. Can he keep this up all year?

Yeah, he's having a great month. Hopefully Craig getting hurt and Jay struggling doesn't mean that Berkman gets overworked. I'm worried that will be the real downside to Craig missing time.

Took the rubber match and Lohse with the W. 10-9 overall. This team is trending upwards.

Who knew Lohse would turn out to be such a great FA pick up for one of my fantasy teams.

He's healthy now. That's the difference. Now, how long will it last?

I don't want to go overboard and declare Lohse back to 2008 form, but it sure looks like that might be the case. I had pretty much concluded that it was essentially a fluke that he was so good back then. But, I guess it might really have been an injury that has hindered him.

I hate to admit it, but I believe you are right. I never bought into the guy, but he's sure making me change my mind in a hurry, and the part that is convincing me is that it's not just a couple of early starts hear during the season, he was great in the spring. Al the glowing remarks I had head about him lead me to make him a FA pick-up in a fantasy league before the season even started and it's paying off big time.
