What a let down last night, and I simply can't imagine tonight ending any differently.

This morning, before my 'Ugh' post, I started typing that the Cards would get swept. They are just in one of those funks. Then I thought, "No, I might jinx it."

I should have typed it. The Cardinals are going to get swept. These guys turtle any time they get into a big series.

That's what happens when your leader in the Club house is Albert, Scottie Ball-Game would never have let this happen, Mike Matheney would never let this happen. We've talked about it for two years now, this team is loosing games in the locker room just as much as in the batters box or on the mound.

Maybe if Lance returns next year he will be more of a force in the locker room? Maybe if Wayno were health? I don't know.

I really question if this team can ever be a 'team' again as long as Albert rules the roost.

It's a shame that the Brewers will not be keeping this team together, because it would have been a great rivalry for you guys for years to come. Unfortunately, they'll let Prince walk, and then it'll be all downhill from there. I'm afraid they geared up for a one year run and that's it.

What difference will that make? It's their 7 and 8 hitters killing us.

The next time I see a Cardinal on my TV it better be a shot of him sitting in a box at the Blues game.......I'm done with them (and so is most of the team)

They've played this great long enough to bury the Cards. The Birds can't even win 5 straight games, let along 19 of 21 or whatever absurd number the Brewers are at. The Cards of the last 3 seasons have been so maddeningly inconsistent. Every year they get buried by a team that can put together some winning streaks.

Generally if you want to compete for a playoff spot, you want to beat teams like the Cubs.

Me'thinks it's time for the Cardinals and LaRussa to part ways. Lord knows Pujols is already plotting his exit to Washington.
