If . . .

The Braves lose both games of their double-header tomorrow and then we sweep the Braves this weekend, we'll be a mere 2.5 games out of the Wild Card. Just sayin.

They're still playing baseball?

And playing well too. Won 7 of 10. It's probably too little too late, but if we sweep ATL it can get interesting.

Sorry, the Blues are skating at Mills and the NFL season starts today, there is nothing the Cardinals can do that would interest me (short of scoring 6 so my kids get cheap slushs)

Kimbrel doesn't blow saves but he did last night. Big win for the Birds.

We seem to have his number like we had Broxton's last year. In 4 save opportunities against the Cards this year, the Braves have 0 saves. I don't know if they are all Kimbrel, but I assume they are. It's possible there was a save blown before the 9th inning in April though. I'm too lazy to look it up.

Wow...a sweep. I'm going to avoid looking at the standings anytime soon.

They'll blow it, like a male government figure in a male bathroom.

So apparently the Cardinals won last night, the Marlins hit a walkoff over the Braves, and the Cards are only 2 1/2 GB. Nothing to see here. Move along.

I will continue my utter disbeleif that they have any chance and will continue to flame any who suggest otherwise.

They're incredibly fun to watch right now-. I feel like they won't lose another game during the regular season. Not predicting that per se, but they're playing so well it seems plausible.

I agree. I'm actually fully interested for the first time in a few months. I follow them but not as closely as some of my other teams. This is too little too late but they've made it interesting at least. If they could have put together a string of games like this earlier in the year, we wouldn't be here.
