You guys are more optimistic than I am about the Rams tonight. I know we went 1-0-1 against them last year. I know that the 49ers looked bad on Sunday. And, I know that Aldon Smith is out (what a moron btw). But, I'm really worried about the Rams defense now. I thought it would be a strong point this year. But, wow is that secondary struggling. And, not just on talent things, on mental things too. Jenkins giving a 7 yard cushion on 3rd and 6, for example.

There's a lot that I'm really annoyed with when it comes to the Rams. I'm probably being overly optimistic, but it's not like the Niners don't have problems. Our CB's giving an enormous cushion has been a huge problem. Some speculation is that the CB's are playing back to help the young safeties. So they give up short yardage as a sacrifice to stopping big lays.

What I worry about tonight is that Kaep is going to run all over the place. The Rams defended him well last year when he was in, but he's due for a huge game.

But even more than that, Schottenheimer HAS to take the reigns off the offense. None of this conservative crap to begin the game. Go at 'em...down their throats. I know it's apples and oranges in terms of talent, but the GSOT scored so many TD's on first drives. They were so successful because they put heat on teams early and everyone was playing from behind. We've got talent on offense, let's keep the D off the field a bit and get some solid marches down the field.

I've been a Bradford apologist for years. Bad line. Bad receivers. But, I'm starting to question that. I get that our line has been suspect and we don't have a running game (partly because of the line). But, at some point he has to step up. Throws like the one to Pettis in the first quarter can't happen. That was a free 6 points but he rushed it and was 5 yards off target. And it wasn't the only time he missed like that. He's gotta be better.

And WTF happened to Finnigan? He's just awful now. I don't get it. I understand that McLeod sucks too, but how many times does he get burned every game?

I'm the exact same way with Bradford. Saw the potential, that he could make 'all the throws,' but he doesn't take over a game when needed. My confidence is starting to erode in everyone on the team.

This is the gif of the night.
