Train I ride, sixteen coaches long
Train I ride, sixteen coaches long
Well that long black train got my baby and gone

Train train, comin' 'round, 'round the bend
Train train, comin' 'round the bend
Well it took my baby, but it never will again (no, not again)

Train train, comin' down, down the line
Train train, comin' down the line
Well it's bringin' my baby, 'cause she's mine all, all mine
(She's mine, all, all mine)

Not on topic here, but goon, have I ever told you that your picture just creeps me out? And I kid you not, that face was even in a nightmare I had a few nights ago!

All Hail Elvis!

The wife and I went to New Orleans for New Years one year and stopped in Memphis on the way down. My wife was aghast at Graceland and said it was gaudy and other bad, mean words. It was just after Christmas, so they still had out the white Christmas tree with red satin balls that I'm assuming Elvis owned. I told her that her parents probably owned the same thing back in the day.

For Elvis lovers, check out Dread Zeppelin, a reggae-ish band that covers Led Zeppelin with a fat Elvis for a lead singer. Great stuff!

I saw DZ at the Blue Note about 1991. Great show. We were so wasted I think a bunch of us later ran around outside buck naked.

Ahh...memories.

Holy shit, I was at that show, double bill with Mojo Nixon, right? Hmm, now that I think of, maybe it was a couple years earlier.

Could have been 89. Around 90. I don't remember the opener. It was right around a Fishbone show and before the Anniversary party with Sonic Youth, 2 other shows I saw there.

Saw Elvis at the Kiel Opera House about 500 years ago...
Of course, we were way up in the balcony, so he looked like he was about 3 centimeters tall, but, Lord, did he put on a fantastic show!

The Opera House was my favorite place for concerts. Oddly enough, the Keil Auditorium was my least favorite place, and that's where I saw most of my concerts before they tore the old building down.
