Hrabosky is almost as bad as Bernie - not quite - but close.
Shannon is - a treasure. Not only does he know the game better than just about anybody on the planet - the immense love he has for the game, and the absolute joy he finds in it - just radiates thru the microphone. If I could pick a way to spend my last day on earth (other than being with my family of course) - it would be to spend that time listening to Bobby Plager, and Mike Shannon telling their stories. It doesn't get any better than that.
I would go a day early rather than endure listening to BS from those two guys.
If you don't appreciate what these two guys being to their sports - you're just taking up space on earth anyway.
Have a nice trip.

Plager is fun to talk to and loves to share stories...and Shannon is a blast to listen to when he is BSing and telling stories with guests during rain delays or after the game.
I don't know why anyone wouldn't enjoy that...two old timers of hockey and baseball with interesting, funny and colorful stories to tell...but to each their own I guess.
I don't mind any of them, really, but I don't particularly like any of them either.
McLaughlin is the best of the bunch if you ask me. I actually think he's pretty decent and getting better.
I had a run in with Hungo way back when and he was a prick and a half and he generally gets annoying, but I don't mind him.

I think McLaughlin is a poor man's Joe Buck. He has the ability to cover other sports (i.e. Big 12 basketball, I've seen him do sideline reporting for Fox on Rams games), but he is best suited in the booth calling baseball.
