Favorite Bands, revisited
After reading through the Metallica thread, and I know this has been done before, I'm curious to know all of your favorite bands. Taste is taste, there's no right or wrong, I'm just curious...
Mine:
AC/DC (Bon Scott years)
Ramms+ein
Motorhead (Lemmy is god)
Black Sabbath
Pantera
Down
Metallica's first three albums
Slayer
Iron Maiden
Scorpions
David Allen Coe (for getting drunk...I hate country music, but he's awesome)
Faith No More
The Police
The Beatles
I could go on...but I'm mostly curious as to your answers. Try and keep the flaming to a minimum.

In no particular order:
Pink Floyd
The Beatles
Muse
Thrice
NIN
Weezer (Pretty much the first two albums, but both were/are great)
Refused
311
Story of the Year
The Urge
Modest Mouse
Incubus
Finch
Cake
Boston
Billy Talent
Bob Marley
Sublime
Hepcat
I think that's enough, but I'm sure I've missed a few.

Re: Favorite Bands, revisited
I resisted listing bands that only have one full-length album, such as Cynic (can't wait for their new one). I was tempted to list Negura Bunget and Primordial too, but I don't have enough of their material yet. I know Atheist only has 3, but they're so freaking awesome, they deserve to be listed.

Re: Favorite Bands, revisited
I listed Cynic because their only full-length album happens to be my favorite album ever by about a mile, and their demos are incredible too. I normally wouldn't name a band with only one album as a favorite, but this is a bit of a different case.ksbluesfan wrote:I resisted listing bands that only have one full-length album, such as Cynic (can't wait for their new one). Re: Favorite Bands, revisited
It was the album that got me hooked onto death metal, along with Atheist's "Elements" and Death's "Symbolic".ksbluesfan wrote:Cynic's Focus is phenomenal.StillBleedingBlue wrote:I listed Cynic because their only full-length album happens to be my favorite album ever by about a mile, and their demos are incredible too.
