Blues vs. Wild at Traverse City

Post by Robb_K »

The Blues are ahead 1-0, after one period, on a goal by Phil McRae. If they win this game, they'll play in the tournament finals.

Nigro scores (from Palushaj and McRae). 2-0 Blues. All 3 on that line have 2 points, each. Allen must be playing well. And they fought off two 5 on 3's. 5 minutes left in the 2nd period.

Nigro scores again, but Wild scores their first. 3-1 Blues with 15 minutes to go in 3rd. Nigro 2 goals, McRae one, Palushaj 2 assists.

You can't keep A. Nigro down....

Sorry, had to do it for old times sake.

A. Nigro deserves a shot in this league.

After blowing a 3-0 lead in the 3rd, The Wild tied the game with 3 seconds left. They went scoreless in 2 overtime periods. McRae and Palushaj scored in the shootout, and The Wild didn't. So, The Blues win and finish 2-1 before the playoffs. The Palushaj, McRae, Nigro line played great. Allen kept them in the game. They were outshot by a wide margin.

The Wild finished 2-0-1, and The Blues 2-1. So, The Wild will play in the championship game, and The Blues will play for 3rd place.
