Upper Bowl seat at the United Center for a Hawks game was $15 only 5-6 years ago. That IS nuts though.

Can you blame them though? Betcha season ticket holders* are pissed, unless they too get a discount.

*this is assuming there are Coyotes season ticket holders out there.

Gotta basically give tickets away for the home opener?

Geez. Even teams that don't draw well, like the Blues a few years ago, usually don't have a problem selling out the home opener.

I'm sure there are a handful who live within walking distance of the arena.

Last update is that Balsillie said he'd keep the team in Glendale this year... basically means his bid is almost exact to the NHL (who said they will look for a buyer, but if couldn't find one, they'd look to relocation after this season anyway) except over 100 million more...

gee... would you rather have 140 million or 240 million???

The cheap tickets is just an all-for-naught way by the NHL to get fans in the seats to show Judge Baum that there is a fanbase in Glendale. Can't believe they're not sold out yet at those prices... that alone says something about their "vast fanbase"
