I would actually like to do a live draft too. I'll wait on a few other responses.strocklen083 wrote:Cool. I put a response post to your question about the draft. Re: LGB Fantasy Hockey
Any idea how long the draft will run? As I have to be up at 5:30 for another riveting day of work with the cherubs, I may not be able to last the entire evening. Thankfully, the rest of my team will be auto-drafted for any time I actually miss. Plus, the missus might want me to be not on the computer drafting a hockey team all night long.

A couple years ago I did a yahoo baseball live draft with only about half the people there. IIRC, it would wait 1-2 minutes for each pick before making the autopick to give people time to make a decision or log on. Multiply that by 10 teams, 14 rounds of the draft, depending on how many people are online it could be several hours.

Yikes. I've only done live draft's for football. The one we had for this season was 10 teams, everyone was there and it probably took a little over an hour.big d note wrote:A couple years ago I did a yahoo baseball live draft with only about half the people there. I think hockey has more rounds though. I'm not really sure.

The only time I ever did a live draft was when everyone involved in the league was in the same room together and it took under an hour. Of course there was no autopick option, so we pretty much flew through it.

I thought I might be able to catch the last few rounds. Damn that went fast. How long did the whole thing take?
I'm generally satisfied with a lot of aspects of my team, but I want some insurance on defense.

Cup Bound Blues - I sent you a trade proposal, take a look! Make a counter offer if that's not to your liking. I'm open to suggestions.

Re: LGB Fantasy Hockey
In my other league, I offered a guy a blockbuster deal that included Andrei Markov going my way, trying to solidify my offensive D. The guy said he was highly interested but outright refused to trade Markov even though I was offering Ovechkin, so he declined. What a turn of fortune for me. It's going to be a good season, I can tell.

Anyone know why the game times on the rosters are set to Pacific? Is that something I need to change on my account or is that a league setting that needs to be changed?

That's cabby. He's a member of this site though he doesn't post much. He's also a mod over at RBN.glen a richter wrote:Who's Cabby Clan? I offered a trade.
He's probably drunk at college and can't get to the computer.

I haven't done one of these in a few years. But I'm having fun so far! Much more fun than fantasy football IMO because of the daily decisions to make. Espec if you have 3 goalies that are all pretty solid.

It would be nice if the Blues had that problem.
[heck] I'd settle for one goal tender playing pretty solid right now.
