ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today that forward D.J. King will be sidelined 8-10 weeks with a fracture/dislocation of the right hand. King was evaluated on Monday by Dr. Rick Wright and Dr. Charles Goldfarb of Washington University’s Department of Orthopedics. The injury occurred on Saturday, Oct. 24 vs. Dallas.

Waiting for JR or someone reputable to confirm, but a blogger states the injury is not considered serious and he practiced today.

The Blues haven't sent a press release stating he is on the IR or anything like that yet, so that could be true. If it was serious/semi-serious, they would want to get him on the IR right away so he wouldn't have to miss more time than necessary (meaning the 7-day rule or whatever).

If it's serious, release him.

If it's not serious, release him.

I detect a theme...

He was trying to fire up the team because they were playing so poorly in front of Conklin.

He was screaming “VIVA LA CONKS” while bashing in some skull and got a little too excited.

So, apparently, Kodos and SIU LAW have no idea how he got hurt.

Anybody else?

Under the last two seasons, we have seen 1 assist and 1 fight from King.

Still better production than Brewer.
