insisting that the Blues would be extremely stupid if they traded Perron. I think the pansies who gave me trouble are feeling pretty fookin' stoopid right now because he is

I don't think that anyone would have wanted to trade him unless something damn good was coming in return. Phil Kessel was one player we supposedly were trying to get for him. As good as Perron has been this season, I don't see him matching Kessel's 36 goals from last year.

I didn't want them to trade Perron, I was merely suggesting that of all the guys on the team, it seemed most likely that Perron would be the one to get traded early on. I based this decision solely on the way I perceived Murray to be treating young David.

Not sure he will ever be an elite level goal scorer, but he sure as hell has elite hands...still misses the net too much, but it will be interesting to see what he becomes in his prime.

What are you talking about? Prett boy perron? Yeah he isnt going to fight anyone but he is far from being a "pretty boy", he doesn't take anyshit from anyone after the whistle and is constantly battling it out infront of the net. If you are going to call someone a pretty boy it should be Boyes way before Perron, Perron's grittiness out there has really impressed me this year.

Perron has to be gritty. Dude was a virtual nothing 4 years ago.

His ascent to where he is, alone, makes him worthy of staying with this team long term.

glen & 319 are totally right on this... perron is what's RIGHT with this team.

perron to me = geoff courtnall in 2001. dude seemed a little flaky but man he was a catalyst. the blues tanked in the playoffs without him. you just didn't know when he'd kick major ass for a 5 game stretch. those are the kinds of dudes you need in the playoffs and Perron was a pest against the Canucks.

Dude is a loose cannon and I'd put him in the 'no way' category concerning trades.

Now if we could trade Brewer and any other defenseman playing like a fookin' pansy, I'd be happy.

But I pose the question: with as hot as Perron has been, would we not get a great return for him if he keeps this up?

I would only trade him for the right forward. Absent a deal that significantly adds a critical piece, you don't move him. IMO

Bold prediction, considering he was out for a quarter of the season

I always liked Courtnall. He had a great work ethic, never let up even on the icing plays, and was in great shape. It's a shame that concussions forced him into early retirement.
