Lose a 2 point lead in the last 2 mins... this seems oddly familiar.

Overtime in Saskatoon..

Well, the goalie interference was rather blatant, and the US needs to be penalized for their goofy helmets.

Crappy goaltending early in this game.
Team USA pulled their starting goalie after the 3rd goal against to make it 3-3...which was a good move. Although the replacement is on his back way too much. That's the only reason Canada tied it late in the 3rd, he was needlessly on his back after making the initial save.

USA went into way too much of a defensive shell with a one goal lead late in the game. Canada was all over them as they collapsed down low. How many times do teams have to blow leads because they try to go into a shell and protect a lead and throw away the play that got them a 5-3 lead in the first place? Dumb. Happens all of the time.

If Team Canada had pulled their goalie when they should have (after USA's 3rd goal), Canada probably would have won in regulation...but they waited waaaaay too long.

Now it goes to OT.

At least it's exciting.

I'm just hoping a team can score in the next 20 minutes, because shootouts have no place deciding who wins a championship.

Petro pinched, almost notched gold for Canada, but his miss/rebound turned into a 3 on 2 that won it for the USA.

Oh, I know he was. Just pointing that out. But I got to thinking, with Payne, the organ-EYE-zation's go to guy for raising youth being called up to coach the Blues, do you think that helps or hinders Petro's shot at staying with the big club? JD said a decision has been made but just not ready for public release just yet.
