Attitude reflect results, captain.

I love that movie.
And yeah, we are only 6 points out it definitely isn't the time to have a "meh" attitude, but I think it is because watching this team play in the third period is soo draining. The last loss felt like 2 or 3, we never seem to win comfortably, they make me stress so much in the third. Usually, that would be normal if we were up by one and playing like we usually do in the third, but its gotten to the point where I never feel comfortable with a lead.

Good solid game tonight.
The Flames pressured quite a bit in the 3rd, but Conks held the fort this time.
This team is tough to figure out. One game you are disgusted with how they played and blew a lead...and the next game they are shutting a team out on the road.
Maybe this is the growing pains associated with a fairly young team...but man...if we'd just have an average record when leading in the 3rd period this season, we'd be around 6th or 7th place.
I don't know.. I don't think either team played well really, I think we got lucky we got a slumping Calgary team because I didn't think we looked very good. But, a win is a win and Conks with the shut out.
Despite all of our struggles, we are sitting 4 points out of the playoffs with 30 games to play. This team has been inconsistent, but if we can just get a small streak going we'll suddenly find ourselves in the playoffs. Is this the ideal route into the playoffs? Of course not, but maybe we can peak at the right time and make a run. When this team is playing well we can play with anyone, so who knows. I'll enjoy the next 30 games either way.

Frustrating.
If this team had a home record worth a damn, they'd be in 6th or 7th place. Of course, it appears that is beginning to turn around under Payne judging by the last home stand. Now just fix that pesky 3rd period lead thing.

I don't remember the last time I was happy with the Blues around Thanksgiving & Christmas-time.
Even when Bill Guerin was here, they had a surge in the 2nd half of the season then too.

Oshie played his ars off, Conks stood on his head, DP put it away, and
They got Berg-larized!
Great start to the road trip and now the playoff speculation actual has some legs. As I’ve stated before, I’m not overly concerned with a playoff appearance an first round bow out, but as long as we don’t loose sight of the long term goal it will do nothing but make the next 2 months more interesting and help the young players build confidence.

Making the playoffs is always, always, always, always better than finishing 9th, 10th or 11th.
I would LOVE to see how this young team would play in the playoffs after getting swept in the first round last year. Let's see if they've learned anything.
