I plan on visiting from Nashville to see a Blues game next month and have a few questions:
Is scalping legal in St. Louis? Will it be easy for me to get tickets the day of the game? Any recomendations with regards to pre-game dining options? What's the parking situation like?
Any info would be appreciated.

tickets: you shouldn't have any problems getting a ticket from someone outside, though i'm not sure what is enforced and what isn't. against columbus a friend of mine sold some tickets on a street corner to a guy and it went without a hassle. the blues have had numerous sellouts, so you may want to plan on getting tickets before the day of just to ensure the best experience.
dining options: personally, i recommend dining on laclede's landing. the old spaghetti factory is nice, not pricey, but good food and an old time atmosphere. if the weather is nice, you could walk around there and find a large variety of eating establishments. then you could hop on the metro link and it would take you right to the rink.
parking: you can easily find parking for 5 bucks if you are willing to walk a few blocks. the other night i went to JBucks restaurant. if you have a your blues ticket, they will validate your parking (otherwise they charge you $25 bucks to park in their lot) and take 25% off of your food bill. they also feature $2.50 beers. i got a the bucks burger ($9.99) and a beer. so basically i got a free beer with my burger because of my blues ticket (an incentive of having your ticket before walking to the rink). the walk from jbucks is only a few blocks down from the rink. it seemed like a bit of a hike the other day in the freakn' cold, but it was worth it. http://www.jbucks.com/
good luck

You can scalp just not on the block the rink is on. Do it across the street and you will have no problems. Union Station has the Hard Rock Cafe if you want a chain joint. "The Hill" off of I 44 is some of the best dining in the city especially for Italian food. Me and my buddy we park in the garage because of some issues they have had with break-in's around the rink. If you get there early enough you won't have a problem parking there. Or you can google the ticket guy's and buy one over the phone and pick it up at will call. Hope this helps.

The Days Inn at Six Flags is a nice, economical place to stay.
