I like to think I don't watch a lot of TV. At least I try not to or at least try to avoid the CSI's of the TV spectrum. But as I start to think about it my list is rather large. But here we go...

Currently airing shows:

LOST - hands down the single greatest TV show ever. A single "bad" hour of LOST is 100x better than any of the shitty serial dramas or corny comedies on TV today.
The Office - one of the most uniquely funny shows in this era of television. Great characters and outlandish comedy.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - Fantastic over the top humor.
Curb Your Enthusiasm - does it get any funnier than Larry David? You'd have a hard time convincing me otherwise.
House - such complex and interesting characters with a bit of clever wit mixed in
Dexter - suspenseful, smart, and always throwing you for a loop. Great acting to boot.
Californication - crude humor at it's best
Modern Family - another Office-style show with great characters and over the top situations.
How I Met Your Mother - NPH steals this show but the cast as a whole just meshes well together. A bit of a guilty pleasure show, but I still find it fun to watch.
The Mentalist - sure, it's just like the CSI's, which I adamantly dispise. But the Red John story takes it up a notch with that long term intrigue. Still watching the Season 1 DVDs though so my verdict is out until I see Season 2.

Retired Shows:

Seinfeld - greatest comedy of all time. Wasn't always the smartest show on TV. But funny none the less.
The West Wing - fantastic look in to the world within the White House.
The Sopranos - sure the ended sucked balls. But when you look at the entire body of work, you have to admire it.
The Shield - really cutting edge show that broke the rules of cable dramas.
Sports Night - really under rated comedy that launched a lot of careers. Too bad ABC didn't have the patience to stick with it long term.
Ed -a pioneer in the "dramedy" genre that still stands above the shitty ones that are out there today. Besides the great soundtrack, the characters were entertaining and very "real" for the small town setting.

I forgot to add these. I've contemplated several times on purchasing the entire Sports Night series on DVD. And to me, it's a tragedy that Ed hasn't had a proper DVD release. I know it has to do with music rights, but I'd give anything to have that show on DVD. Some people thought that show was too 'cute,' but I thought it was a funny, unique show with some strange, offbeat characters and stories that really gelled well. Was one of my favorites.

Hell, I've got a DVR, I don't ever watch half the crap I tape. Between the Blues, Darts, and COD....just don't have much time to sit and watch.

yeah, COD will do that to ya. I guess my biggest advantage is the 5 minute commute to work. I figure I get an extra hour and a half (minimum) or more free time that most others don't. It also helps that I don't really work out or have many obligations beyond work.

about 5 years ago I gave up TV and video games completely. I spent all of my time reading and doing crossword puzzles. But then LOST sucked me in and it all went down hill from there!

I work at home, so I have plenty of extra time. Plus, with TV shows on DVD and instant Netflix on my Xbox, its easy to space shows out and watch them in chunks. For instance, I had never seen Friday Night Lights before last November or December, so I queued all seasons up in my Netflix instant queue, plowed through 3 seasons of eps in the next few months, and then finished off season 4 which was airing on Directv 101, with the help of my DVR.

I wouldn't say I have that much free time but I try to make the most of what I have. I watch quite a bit of stuff during my lunch break at work. In fact, I'm on season 5 of 24 and haven't seen a single episode anywhere else.

#1 is Seinfeld. Pure comedic genius with a hometown flavor. I have no problem saying that I understand, and laugh my ass off every single time at, many jokes in the show on a different level from you guys. You would never get the references to traffic on the Van Wyck (in the episode where Elaine has to bring her friend from Seattle back to the airport) unless you've actually been stuck for 4 hours on the Van Wyck anytime between the beginning of time and right now.

#2 is House. It's brilliant, Hugh Laurie is a fantastic actor, especially with the fake American accent he puts on, and I love both 13 and Cameron.

#3 is The Office, which I initially resisted because they took off my Seinfeld re-runs to air this show instead. However, they put Seinfeld back on a different channel at a different time slot, so I was able to get both.

I watched Real World Boston in 11th grade, the one with Elka and Genesis, and I've been trying to scrub the fact that I watched it from my memory ever since.

I have an hour. Most shows are an hour (or for network shows they're 40-50 minutes once you take out the commercials). I can usually get an episode of something in.

Some of my tops:

Burn Notice, Heroes, Supernatural, Seinfeld, Robot Chicken, Family Guy, Simpsons, American Dad, Weeds, United States of Tara, Dexter, Six Feet Under, Pushing Daisies (CANCELED), Terminator (CANCELED), Prison Break (CANCELED), Futurama (CANCELED), Invasion (CANCELED), Jericho (CANCELED)

Right about now I'm too afraid to like TV shows on regular TV cause I'm too afraid they will get canceled, even Prison Break was stretching its self pretty far after the second season.
