It'll take $20-30M to re-sign the players in bold (~$45M payroll), with Cole, Junland, Sonne, McRae, Ponich, Taresenko, and Schwartz in the pipeline. We haven't signed anyone this offseason, but we give the 2010-11 team prime playing time. Then, in 2011-12, we fill those (empty) spots with Cole, Junland, Sonne, McRae, Taresenko, Schwartz, and Allen. 17 of 20 players (85%) would be Blues' draft picks. (Halak, Steen, McDonald)

I would rather have the Payne Trayne throw some form of D'Bris on the ice, like a cone, or cotton candy. That air-sugar could slow some skates down.
